These Terms govern your use of GhostMidi (the “Service”), operated by Faster Horse Media (“we,” “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
What the Service does
GhostMidi is a chat-driven music composition tool that generates MIDI files based on your descriptions. You retain ownership of all musical content you create using the Service — including AI-generated output — and may use it commercially, release, sell, or sample it without attribution or royalty to us.
Accounts
You can use the free tier anonymously without an account. Creating an account requires a valid email address. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account. Notify support@ghostmidi.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate content intended to defame, harass, or harm others.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or programmatically abuse the Service.
- Bypass rate limits, share account credentials, or resell the Service without permission.
- Use the Service to attempt to reproduce specific copyrighted works for commercial release without proper licensing. (We've built guardrails for this but ultimate responsibility is yours.)
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
Paid plans
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe at $10/month USD. Cancel any time via the customer portal on your Account page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain Pro access until then. See our Refund Policy for details.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but provide the Service “as is” without warranties of any kind. The Service depends on third-party providers (Anthropic for AI generation, Supabase for data storage, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payments) and outages may occur. We're not liable for consequential damages from downtime, data loss, or generation failures.
Content responsibility
You're responsible for the prompts you submit and the output you choose to use. The Service produces musical content based on patterns in training data and your prompts; we don't guarantee originality or non-infringement of any specific output. If you ask the Service to evoke a specific copyrighted work, the output is your responsibility to clear before commercial release.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced via email to active subscribers. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts of the operator's state of residence.
